Bulk Towelling Bath Mats for Hotels, Spas and Laundries

A bath mat is a plain cotton terry mat for the floor beside a bath or a shower. We weave bulk bath mats to the weight, shade and size you send.

We quote the same mat as a bath rug when that is the word on your stock list. It is cotton terry throughout, so it washes and presses like the towels ordered with it.

Which buyers put mats on the order?

Sites that stock the floor beside a bath or a shower. The mat is its own line, with its own weight, measurements and quantity.

  • Hotels and serviced apartments, which write hotel bath mats on the same specification as the room towels.
  • Spas and leisure clubs, ordering spa bath mats in white or to a Pantone number held on file.
  • Hospitals and care homes, where hospital bath mats sit on the ward stock list as a line of their own.
  • Commercial laundries, holding commercial bath mats for the sites they already supply towels to.
  • Supermarkets and big marts, taking the mat under a store label, as a mat or a rug.

How is a terry bath mat handled in the laundry?

Like the towels it came in with. The mat is cotton terry throughout. It takes the same wash and the same press as the rest of the bathroom stock.

So the room runs on one set of laundry instructions. You can also retire the mats on the same cycle as those towels.

How heavy should a bath mat be?

As heavy as you say. The weight goes on the mat line. We do not take it from the towels on the order.

The choice cuts two ways. More cotton holds more water underfoot. That same water has to come out again in your dryer. A lighter mat clears the dryer sooner.

What size should a bath mat be?

Big enough to cover the step out of the bath or the shower. We cut each mat to the length and the width on your order. So measure the floor instead of picking a size name.

Measure the opening in the rooms you are stocking and send the two numbers. If one room type takes a wider mat, that becomes its own line with its own quantity.

Should the mat match the towels?

Your call. We weave both: white, or one solid shade matched to the Pantone number you send.

The mat sits flat on the floor, in view from the doorway. The towels sit folded on a rail. So ask to see the shade laid out before you fix the number. White bath mats are the simpler route when the towels carry the colour.

Bath mat, towelling bath mat or bath rug?

Three words, one mat. In Britain and Australia the word is bath mat. Lists that have to say what the mat is made of call it a towelling bath mat, or a cotton bath mat. Lists from the United States and Canada say bath rug, so the line there reads hotel bath rugs.

The weave and the measurements do not change with the word. Tell us the term your stock list uses, and we quote the line under it.

Which lines sit beside the mats?

The rest of the bathroom, on one quotation. The bath linen range carries the towels, the robes and the pool towels. A shade chosen for the mats can run across all of them. Wholesale bath mats go on the same quotation. One bath mat supplier then covers the floor and the rail.

Rooms being restocked take bedding at the same time, from the bed linen range. Anything the table does not name is written into the specification instead.

Frequently Asked Questions

Can the mats be woven at a different weight from the towels on the same order?

Yes. Weight sits on each line on its own. The mats can be the heaviest line on the order. Send a figure for each and we quote them separately.

We are replacing mats we already hold. What is the quickest way to match them?

Post one of the mats to us. We weigh it and measure it here. That settles more than a product name. If you have none to spare, send the weight, the measurements and the colour reference.

Can the mats carry our own label and our own pack count?

Yes. Your label goes on every mat. The mats leave in poly bags, bundles or cartons, at the count you set. A shelf line can read bath rug while a contract line reads bath mat.

Do the mats have to be finished the same way as the towels?

No. You choose the header and the hem line by line. The mats can run plain to the hem while the towels carry a dobby or a satin band.

Each mat line needs a weight, a length, a width, white or a Pantone number, and the quantity you want to hold. You are writing to the bath mat manufacturer, so those figures go straight to the loom. Say how the ends should finish, and the mats come back priced.
