Kitchen Linen
Bulk Tea Towels, Glass Cloths and Dish Cloths for Commercial Kitchens
Tea towels, glass cloths and dish cloths woven in bulk for commercial kitchens, hotel kitchens, bars, caterers, laundries and retail packs. We weave plain, terry and waffle.
The three weaves give three different surfaces. Each one goes on the order as its own line. Name the weave, the fabric, the measurements and the shade on each.

Which entries build a kitchen cloth line?
You choose
Four: the weave, the fabric, the measurements and the weight. Colour, hem and pack format follow those four.
Write the weave first. It sets the surface of the cloth, and the rest of the line is read against it. Whatever the table leaves out goes into your own specification for that cloth.
| Weave | Plain woven, terry or waffle |
|---|---|
| Fabric | Cotton, or another fabric set with your order |
| Weight | Yours to state; we publish no figure for these cloths |
| Finished size | The measurements written against the line, cloth by cloth |
| Colour | White, or a different solid shade per line where the cloths are kept apart by colour |
| Edge | Hem finish agreed with the line |
| Lines on the order | Tea towel, terry tea towel, glass cloth or dish cloth, each specified on its own |
| Label and packing | Your label on every line, in the retail or bulk pack you ask for |
Plain, terry or waffle?
Each cloth takes the weave you write against it. Plain has a flat face, terry carries loops, and waffle carries a raised grid. We weave all three.
Plain woven cloth has no loops standing up from it. A cloth kept back for glassware takes that face. The trade calls that piece a glass cloth. Put it on the order under either name, with the weave written beside it. Wholesale glass cloths are plain woven unless you write otherwise.
Terry is woven with loops. So the same square of cloth holds more yarn than plain or waffle. Wholesale terry tea towels also take the most room in the store and in the pack.
Waffle is woven as a raised grid. It gives texture and a firmer feel without the loops of terry, and it packs flatter than a terry cloth of the same size.
Choose cloth by cloth, not once for the order. One kitchen can take a plain cloth, a terry cloth and a waffle cloth on one quotation, each with its own measurements.
Where do bulk dish cloths differ?
It works wet, on surfaces and equipment, right through service. So we specify it as a small cloth that is changed through service, not as a drying cloth.
Two figures change because of that. The finished size is smaller and the quantity is higher. A cloth changed during service is replaced more often than one changed at the end.
The weave stays your decision. Put the weave, the fabric and the finished size on the dish cloth line. We price it on its own, beside the drying cloths rather than inside them.
What should we know about your wash process?
Three things: the temperature the cloths run at, whether they are tumbled or dried flat, and whether they are bleached.
With those three we can match the weave and the fabric to your process instead of guessing. If a kitchen washes its cloths apart from the table linen, say so. We can then build the two lines differently on one order.
We publish no wash count for these cloths, and we do not quote one. What we keep is the build you agreed. The batch that replaces this one is then made the same way.
Tea towel, kitchen towel, glass cloth or dish cloth?
Use the word your own kitchen uses. We make the cloth from the weave and the measurements behind it, so the name in front changes nothing.
A kitchen in Britain, Australia or New Zealand orders tea towels. A buyer in the United States or Canada writes kitchen towel, or dish towel, for the same cloth. One list reads tea towel bulk and another reads kitchen towel bulk. A glass cloth is the plain woven cloth kept for glassware. A dish cloth is the smaller cloth used wet on surfaces.
Where two of those words appear on one order, we read the weave and the finished size to tell the lines apart. We then quote them separately.
Which kitchens and buyers order these cloths?
Kitchens and buyers who replace cloths through the year. They want the replacement built to a written specification, not matched by eye.
- Commercial kitchens and restaurant groups, ordering commercial tea towels and wiping cloths as two separate lines on one order.
- Hotel kitchens and bars, whose cloth lines go on the same quotation as the bath linen and bed linen for the rooms.
- Caterers and event companies, ordering catering tea towels and replacing what does not come back between sites.
- Laundries, which buy wholesale tea towels and run them on a separate process from table linen.
- Supermarkets and big marts, taking wholesale kitchen towels and dish cloths under their own label in a set retail pack.
What else sits on the order?
The laid table in front of the kitchen. Table cloths, runners and napkins come from the same kitchen linen range. One quotation can carry them with the cloths from behind the pass.
Kitchen lines are also the ones most reordered on their own. We make each repeat to the build already on your file, so the new cloths work like the ones they join. One tea towel supplier can then cover the cloths in front of the pass and behind it.

Frequently Asked Questions
What weight are your tea towels?
We publish no weight for these cloths. Tell us the weight you work with, or send a cloth from your stock. We then read the fibre and the weave from it.
Can plain, terry and waffle cloths go on one order?
Yes. One order can carry all three. The weave, the fabric and the measurements are written on each cloth separately.
Is a glass cloth a different product from a tea towel?
It is the same kind of cloth written for a different job: plain woven, and kept back for glassware. Put it on the order as a glass cloth if that is your term, with the weave, the fabric and the finished size beside it.
Can each cloth be a different colour so staff can tell them apart?
Yes. Every line takes white or one solid colour, run to the Pantone number on that line. A separate shade can sit against each cloth, so the lines stay apart on the shelf and at the wash.
Tell us the weave for each cloth, what it measures, and the fabric and shade behind it. The tea towel manufacturer here weaves plain, terry and waffle, so one order covers all three. Every line then comes back priced.
