Duvet Covers in Bulk for Hotels and Commercial Laundries
A duvet cover is a washable fabric bag that a duvet slides into, so the filled duvet does not have to go through the wash every time the bed is stripped. Hotel groups, hospitals, care homes, laundries and retail chains order them by the room standard rather than by the bed.
The cover is cut to the duvet it goes over, in the fabric, thread count, weave and colour you name. Order it as a quilt cover in Australia and New Zealand, or a comforter cover in the United States, and the spec sheet is the same.

The finished size, the closure and the fabric. Nothing here is a fixed range, and every line is settled before the fabric is cut.
An agreed spec then stays on file here, so a second order placed for the same room standard is cut to the figures of the first. Anything the table does not list is made to your specification.

What size should a duvet cover be?
The size of the duvet inside it. A cover is not cut to the mattress, so measure the duvet flat, across and down, and send those two figures.
Then decide how much ease you want on top of those figures. Ease is the extra fabric between the duvet and the seams, and it is the one number that changes how the finished bed looks.
Little ease keeps the filling pushed into the corners and the panel square. More ease lets the duvet drop in quickly, at the cost of loose fabric at the foot. Send the ease you want, or send a duvet and let us work it out from the piece.

Which closure should a duvet cover have?
Buttons or a zip. We make both, so the choice sits with your housekeeping and laundry teams.
A zip closes the whole end in one movement, which is quick on a busy floor. It is also a component that has to survive commercial washing and pressing, and a broken slider takes a cover out of rotation until it is replaced.
Buttons have no moving parts. A loose one is sewn back on in house and the cover stays in service, but each button is fastened and checked every time the bed is made up. Tell us which your teams use and the covers are made that way.
Is a duvet cover the same as a quilt cover or a comforter cover?
Yes. One product, three names, one spec sheet.
A UK buyer puts a duvet cover over a duvet. In Australia and New Zealand that duvet is a quilt or a doona, so the order comes in for hotel quilt covers. In the United States and Canada the filled layer is a comforter, and the piece over it is a comforter cover. In every case the cover is the unfilled outer piece and the filling stays inside it.
Which fabric and weave suit a duvet cover?
Choose by weight and by finish. The cover is the largest single panel in the room, so it is the heaviest piece your laundry has to dry and press, and it is the widest area of colour on the bed.
A higher polyester share in polycotton dries quicker and comes off the press flatter. 100% cotton breathes better under a filled duvet. Microfiber is the lightest of the three to handle in volume.
The weave then sets the surface. Percale is matte and hard wearing, and sateen carries a sheen across the whole panel, which shows more on a piece this size than on a pillowcase.
Who orders duvet covers in bulk?
Buyers who strip and relaunder the cover far more often than the duvet inside it. One duvet on a bed can sit under several covers in rotation, so the cover quantity on an order rarely equals the bed count.
- Hotels and serviced apartments, ordering one cover spec to sit on every duvet already in the building.
- Hospitals and care homes, specifying white or a solid ward colour for resident and patient beds.
- Commercial laundries, which add covers to hire stock and need them to press like the ones already in the rotation.

What goes with a duvet cover?
The bedding it covers and the sheets beneath it. A cover is quoted unfilled, so the duvet or comforter that goes inside is a separate line on the order.
Put the cover on the same fabric and colour reference as your fitted sheets and flat sheets and the bed reads as one set from the door. Protectors, toppers and the rest of the bed linen range are made on the same fabric list.

Frequently Asked Questions
Do you supply the duvet as well as the cover?
They are two separate products. The cover is the unfilled outer piece quoted on this page, and filled duvets and comforters are quoted on their own lines of the same order.
Can one duvet cover fit duvets of different sizes?
Not well. A duvet that is too small leaves empty fabric at the corners, and one that is too large presses against the seams. Put every duvet size on the quotation separately, with the measurements taken from that duvet.
Are duvet covers quoted per piece or per set?
Per piece. Housekeeping may call a cover, a sheet and two pillowcases one set, but each of those carries its own size, fabric and quantity, so each gets its own line on the quotation.
Why do our duvets bunch up inside the cover?
Almost always because the cover was made with more ease than the duvet needs. Take the duvet's own width and length, then add only the ease you want, and order the cover to that figure.
