Mattress and Pillow Protectors for Hotel and Hospital Beds
A mattress protector is a washable layer. It goes over the mattress and under the fitted sheet, so the mattress itself does not get soiled. We make bulk mattress protectors for hotel, hospital, care home, laundry and retail buyers.
We make each protector to the mattress size and depth on your order. The face is terry towelling or plain woven. Pillow protectors are made the same way, for the pillows on the same beds.

What do you choose, and what do we agree with you?
You choose
You pick the fabric, thread count, colour, size, depth and face from the table above. Anything beyond the table is agreed on your order. That includes what the protector has to hold back and how it has to close. We confirm it with you before we quote.
We agree those lines against your own beds and the standard your market works to. So this page lists no fixed build. Anything the table does not cover is made to your specification. Put the same questions to the other mattress protector suppliers you are quoting.

What does a mattress protector have to do on your beds?
Two jobs. It has to keep the mattress clean enough to stay in service. It also has to feel comfortable under the sheet.
The sleeper feels each extra layer through the sheet. A plain woven face is the lightest option here, and the simplest to launder. A terry towelling mattress protector sits at the other end, with a pile face.
Decide which job matters more on which beds before you send the spec. Rooms and wards in one building do not always need the same answer. Each answer goes on its own line of the order.
How should the protector fit the mattress?
Over the top of the mattress and down the sides, like a fitted sheet. Housekeeping can then strip it with the rest of the bed.
The depth decides the fit. Measure it on the bare mattress, not over the bedding. Send a depth for each bed type, because two mattress models under one roof rarely match.
Some beds need a protector that closes round the whole mattress instead of sitting over it. Tell us what it has to close and how. We confirm what we can build before we quote.
Terry towelling or a plain woven face?
Terry towelling gives a soft, absorbent surface with a raised pile. A plain woven face is flat and smooth. We cut it from the same fabrics as the rest of your bed linen.
A towelling mattress protector holds moisture in the pile instead of passing it to the sheet above. The pile also gives the fitted sheet something to sit against. It is the heavier of the two to wash, dry and handle in volume.
A woven face is lighter, dries faster and sits flatter under the sheet. It also creases more than a pile. So it needs pressing, which a towelling face can skip.
How is a protector laundered and pressed?
On the same wash as the rest of the bed. The difference is bulk. A protector carries more fabric than a sheet for the same mattress. It covers the depth as well as the top.
So it takes longer to dry. Choose the quantity per bed against the slowest item back from the laundry.
Tell us the wash temperature and the pressing your laundry runs. We then build to a fabric and construction that suits it. If a request does not suit your wash, we tell you.
Do pillow protectors go on the same order?
Yes. Bulk pillow protectors take a smaller line on the same order. A pillow protector goes over the pillow and under the pillowcase. The case is then what comes off when the bed is stripped.
Hotel pillow protectors are sized from the pillow, so send its measurements with the mattress figures. Each one goes on its own line. We agree fabric and face the same way as on the mattress protector. One room then runs on one spec. Laundries order wholesale pillow protectors by the same rotation as the cases.
Who orders mattress protectors in bulk?
The same buyers who order the sheets. The protector stays on the bed when the sheets come off. Commercial mattress protectors are quoted one line per bed type.
- Hotel groups and serviced apartments, ordering hotel mattress protectors to one room standard.
- Hospitals and care homes, where a hospital mattress protector has to meet the buyer's ward standard.
- Commercial laundries, buying wholesale mattress protectors for hire stock beside the sheets they already rotate.
- Supermarkets and big marts, listing mattress and pillow protectors as shelf lines with their own label and packing.
What goes on the bed with a protector?
The sheet over it, first of all. A fitted sheet has to clear the protector as well as the mattress. So order the two together and send both sets of measurements.
Above that sit flat sheets, pillowcases and duvet covers. The rest of the bed linen range is made from the same fabric list.

Frequently Asked Questions
Is a mattress protector the same as a mattress topper?
No. A protector is a thin layer that keeps the mattress clean. A topper is a filled layer that changes how the bed feels. Some buyers in the United States call a padded version a mattress pad. They are separate products, and separate lines on a quotation.
Can you make a waterproof protector or a bed bug encasement?
Tell us what the protector has to hold back and how it has to close. We then confirm what we can build before we quote. As the mattress protector manufacturer, we answer that from our own stitching lines. This page lists no fixed waterproof or encasement build. The answer depends on the standard your market works to.
Do we measure the mattress the same way as we do for a fitted sheet?
No. You measure a fitted sheet over everything already on the bed, protector included. You measure the protector on the bare mattress. Take the length and width across the top, then the depth down the side. Use a mattress that has been slept on, not a new one.
What do you need from us to quote protectors?
The mattress length, width and depth for each bed type. The face and fabric you want, and the quantity per bed. Add the pillow measurements if pillow protectors go on the same order.
A wholesale mattress protector order starts with the mattress measurements for each bed type. Add the face and the fabric you want. We confirm the construction and the price line by line.
