Which filling should you choose?

Hollow fibre polyester, also called microfibre filling or wadding. The same fill goes inside every topper we make. A microfiber mattress topper and a hollowfibre mattress topper are that fill under other names.

Wadding washes and dries in a commercial laundry. It recovers its shape after pressing. That is why it suits beds on a contract wash.

Which quilting pattern, and how is baffle box different?

Box, diamond, channel or baffle box. Every quilted mattress topper we make carries one of the four. All four stop the filling drifting to one end. The difference is how much the filling can move and how deep the topper reads on the bed.

Box, diamond and channel are stitched through. The shell is stitched to the backing at every line. That locks the fill into compartments, but leaves no fill at the stitching itself. Box and diamond hold the fill tightest. Channel makes the compartments long lines. The fill can travel along a line, but it cannot cross into the next one.

Baffle box adds a strip of fabric between the top panel and the backing at each wall. Every box then keeps its full height across the whole square, instead of pinching at the seams. The topper holds more loft and sits deeper. It uses more fabric and more stitching than a quilt stitched through.

Corner straps or a full skirt?

We make both. A mattress topper with straps carries elastic loops at the four corners. A skirt is a fitted side that runs round the topper. It tucks under the mattress, like a fitted sheet. Stock lists call that a mattress topper with skirt.

Straps use less fabric, fold flatter for storage and go on fast during a room turnaround. They hold the corners only. On a busy bed the middle of the topper can shift under the sheet.

A skirt grips the full side of the mattress and keeps the topper square all day. We cut it to your mattress depth, so send that measurement with the order. A skirt is also bulkier for the laundry to wash and fold.

How does topper depth affect the fitted sheet?

The sheet has to cover the mattress and the topper together. Measure the bed with the topper in place, then order to that depth.

A pocket cut to the bare mattress sits shallow once a topper goes on. The corners then lift while the bed is in use. A baffle box mattress topper adds more depth than a topper stitched through.

Order fitted sheets with the toppers. We then set the pocket depth against the topper you chose.

Is a mattress topper the same as a mattress protector?

No. A topper is a filled layer that changes comfort and depth. A protector is a thin layer that guards the mattress surface and adds no comfort.

Beds can carry both. We quote them as separate lines, because the filling, the quilting and the construction differ.

Who orders mattress toppers in bulk?

Buyers who own the mattresses and want to change how the bed feels without replacing them. Tell us how many beds of each type you have, and how often the toppers come off for washing. The quantity per line follows from that. Send the same bed list to all the mattress topper suppliers you compare.

What goes on the bed with the topper?

The sheets over it. Fitted sheets are cut to the depth the topper creates. Flat sheets follow the same fabric and colour reference.

Pillow covers, duvet covers and the rest of the bed linen range can sit on the same order. Each line is quoted on its own.
